* 1937 - Born in Camberwell South East London;
Mother's maiden name Knapman

* 1952-58 - Indentured Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship
at J. Stone and Co Deptford London

* 1958-60 - National Service Royal Corps of Signals;
Catterick and Cyprus






My "distant" Cousin Alan McCrimmon and Don-
Broadford Isle of Skye March 2000.


* 1997 - Retired from central government after 35 years and
become interested and very active on the internet mainly
on genealogy in researching my own family history

* 2003 - Continuing and current interests
Made my first PC fully from scratch to my own specification
Cooking Chinese & Indian meals; gardening; walking
PC genealogy and internet ie keeping in touch with friends

* 2005 - Building myself a full Website "www.doonald.com"

Donald, Born 8th June 1913 Dumbarton, Scotland.

Worked in John Browns Shipyard Clydebank.

Married Bessie Knapman 1936

Moved to London 1930's working in Royal Arsenal, Woolwich.

Died 27th April 1974.

Grandfather:

Farquhar, Born April 30th 1883 Dumbarton, Scotland.

Worked in John Browns Shipyard Clydebank.

Married Mary Barclay Dunlop 11th Dec 1906.

Served with Royal Engineers. (France 1915 - 1919).

Died 29th June 1961 aged 78
